Key Safety Warnings

WARNING – No passengers

Do not carry children, pets or any passengers in or on the panniers. Serious injury may occur.

WARNING – Max. 5 kg per side

Do not exceed 5 kg per pannier side. Also check and follow your rack manufacturer’s maximum load rating.
Overloading may cause loss of control or rack failure.

WARNING – Straps must be fully closed

Always close and tighten all buckles and hook-and-loop (Velcro) straps securely.
Loose straps can catch in the wheel or brake and cause an accident.

WARNING – Keep clear of wheel and brake

Check that the panniers cannot touch the tyre, spokes or brake rotor at any point, even when loaded or when riding over bumps.

CAUTION – Balance the load

Distribute weight evenly between the left and right sides.
Place heavier items low down and close to the rack to maintain stable handling.

CAUTION – Visibility

Ensure the panniers do not block your rear light, reflector or wheel-mounted reflectors required in your region.
Fit an additional light/reflector if necessary.

Fitting & Rack Requirements

Fitting

The panniers attach to the rear rack using:
Two strap buckles on the top
Two hook-and-loop straps on the bottom

Make sure all straps are routed correctly around the rack tubing and tightened before every ride.

Rack requirements

Your rear rack must be:
• Suitable for panniers
• Rigidly attached to the bicycle frame
• Ideally equipped with three side support legs to prevent the bags interiring with the spokes
• A platform width of 12–16 cm (4.7"–6.3") is recommended

Do not use seatpost-only racks or any rack that cannot safely support the total load.

Before installation, ensure your rack is in good condition and compatible with panniers.

Safe Use & Maintenance

Before each ride

• Check all straps, buckles and fasteners are securely closed.
• Ensure the bags cannot move into the wheel, tyre or brake when the bicycle is pushed or bounced.
• Confirm all closures (zips, roll-tops, flaps) are properly closed to prevent items from falling out.

During use

• Ride according to conditions – extra weight affects braking distance and handling.
• Avoid placing sharp edges or heavy point loads directly against the fabric.
• Do not place hot, flammable, corrosive or leaking substances inside the panniers.

Inspection & maintenance

• Regularly check stitching, fabric, hooks and straps for wear or damage.
• Stop using the panniers immediately if you notice tears, broken stitching, damaged buckles or rack deformation.
• Clean using mild soap and water only.
Do not use solvents, bleach or high-pressure washers.

Storage & Environmental Information

Storage

Store the panniers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Disposal

Dispose of the product according to local regulations.
Where possible, separate metal and textile components for recycling.

Rack compatibility

It’s not about your bike. It’s about the fit.

BikyBag panniers strap onto almost any standard rear rack. Whether they fit comes down to a few simple measurements — not the make or model of your bike. Pick your bag below.

01The four measurements

B

03How it holds on
i

Strap over the rail

Two 16 cm top straps loop over the rack’s top rail. Fasten the metal buckle beneath the tube.

ii

Secure the base

The hook-and-loop strap wraps the lower strut, keeping the bag steady on rough ground.

iii

Tug and ride

A quick pull confirms it’s locked. On and off by hand in seconds — no tools needed.
