Double Panniers Fitting Guide

Double Panniers

Fitting double panniers to a bicycle can enhance your carrying capacity for commuting, touring, or recreational rides. Here’s a general guide to help you fit BikyBag double panniers:

You will need:

1. BikyBag double panniers (with straps).

2. Bicycle rear rack suitable for bicycle panniers and make sure it’s secure and can support the weight of the panniers.

Recommended rack type:

• The rear rack needs to be suitable for bicycle panniers.

• It should be 12-16 cm / 4.7"- 6.3" wide.

• The required length is a minimum of 34 cm / 14.4"

• The minimum distance from the top of the rack to the wheel should be 36 cm / 14"

• The three side legs prevent the bag from swinging and interfering with the rear spokes.

Attach the panniers:

1. The four metal slide buckle straps on top are used to secure the pannier to a rack, while the hook-and-loop fastener straps on the bottom provide additional stability and help keep the pannier in place during movement. This design allows for easy access to the contents of the pannier while ensuring that it remains securely attached to the bike or pack.

2. Position the panniers by holding them up to the rack to determine the best position. The panniers should hang evenly on both sides of the rack.

3. Flip one side over to have clear access to the buckle straps, and attach two on each side to the rack tube.

4. Repeat the same steps on the other side.

5. Attach the the hook-and-loop fastener straps on the bottom to the rack.

6. Adjust the straps and buckles to ensure the panniers are stable and won’t sway while riding.

Test It:

Before riding, gently pull on the panniers to ensure they are securely attached. Make any necessary adjustments.

Load It:

Once attached, you can load your panniers with your items. Distribute the weight evenly for better balance while riding.

Remove the Panniers:

When you need to take them off, simply reverse the attachment process.
